Frequently Asked Questions
Where will I be staying? Do I need to book a hotel or Airbnb on my own?
One of our Berkeley church members will be hosting you, so don’t worry about housing!
How much will it cost?
$100 for entire 2 weeks of lodging, food & training (Doesn’t include transportation to and from the Bay Area).
What about transportation?
We will not be centralizing transportation to and from the Bay Area, so please feel free to go ahead and arrange it on your own (or with your peers or ask your staff). Depending on where you’re coming from, you can either fly, train or bus.
Closest airport, bus/train stations are:
Oakland International Airport (OAK)
Amtrak Station: Coliseum/Airport (Oakland)
Greyhound station: Downtown Oakland
Megabus: West Oakland Bart
Once you’re in Alameda and in session, all the rides (to church, training, etc.) will be taken care of by the hosts.
Which airport should I fly into?
We highly recommend flying into Oakland International Airport (OAK), as it is really close to our church building. You can also fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO) if it’s more convenient for you.
What do I need to bring?
Bring yourself, Bible, and enthusiasm! (and toiletries).
Who can sign up?
If you’re a regular Christian student at one of our college ministries, and you want to get trained/equipped to be the next generation of disciples on a mission, please sign up!
